Before you start

First, check which software your device runs: open Settings → My Fire TV → About. Most Fire TV Sticks and Cubes run Fire OS, which is based on Android. Amazon has also released Fire TV models that run Vega OS. Vega OS devices only install apps from the Amazon Appstore, so use Option 1 below.

  • Your Platinum IPTV login details from your welcome or trial email.
  • Your Fire TV device connected to the internet and updated.
  • Five minutes and your Fire TV remote.

Option 1: install a player from the Amazon Appstore

  1. 1Search the AppstoreFrom the home screen open Find → Search and look for an IPTV player that supports Xtream Codes logins or M3U playlists.
  2. 2Install and open itSelect Get or Download, wait for the install to finish and open the player.
  3. 3Sign inFollow the sign-in steps further down this page.

Which players appear in the Appstore depends on your country and changes over time. Player apps are made by third-party developers, not by Platinum IPTV.

Option 2: install a player from its developer (Fire OS only)

Some popular players are distributed directly by their developers rather than through the Appstore. On Fire OS devices you can install them with Downloader, a free app from AFTVnews.

  1. 1Install DownloaderSearch the Appstore for “Downloader” and install it.
  2. 2Turn on developer optionsGo to Settings → My Fire TV → About and select your device name seven times until a message says you are now a developer.
  3. 3Allow Downloader to install appsGo back to My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps (called “Apps from unknown sources” on older models) and turn it on for Downloader.
  4. 4Download the playerOpen Downloader and enter the official download address published by the player’s developer, then install the file it downloads.

A Downloader “code” is only a shortcut to a web address. It is not an activation code or a login. Only use download links from a player’s own developer, and avoid modified copies of apps.

Sign in with your Platinum IPTV details

  1. 1Choose the login typeIn the player, add a new playlist or profile. Pick “Xtream Codes” (server address, username and password) or “M3U playlist”, matching the details in your email.
  2. 2Enter your details exactlyType the server address including http:// or https:// and any port number. Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive. Name the playlist “Platinum IPTV”.
  3. 3Load channels and the guideLet the player load the channel list, on-demand library and TV guide. The first load can take a minute or two.

Tips for smoother playback

  • Use 5 GHz Wi-Fi close to your router, or an Ethernet adapter for the most stable picture.
  • Restart the Fire TV after installing your player and after big updates.
  • Close apps you are not using and keep some storage free.
  • If one channel struggles, try another to see whether it is the channel or your connection.

Troubleshooting

Still stuck? Contact support with your device model, player name and what you see on screen.

  • Login fails: re-check the server address, username and password character by character.
  • TV guide is empty: refresh or update the EPG in the player’s settings and give it a few minutes.
  • A “maximum connections” message: more streams are playing than your plan includes. Stop one, or ask support about a higher connection count.

Quick answers

Any current Fire TV device that runs your chosen player well will work. A 4K-capable model on a stable connection gives you the most options; check the player is available for your device’s software first.

Yes, you can install the player on both. They can play at the same time only if your plan includes at least two connections.
